Our Nurses Make the Difference!
More than 500 nurses work in a variety of programs at our three main locations of Providence Care, serving patients/clients in Kingston and the surrounding region. These include:
- St Mary’s of the Lake Hospital: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Specialized Geriatrics, Complex Continuing Care, Respite and Palliative Care
- Mental Health Services: Adult Treatment and Rehabilitation, Geriatric Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry
- Providence Manor: Long-Term and Respite Care, Day Centre, Day Away Program, Attendant Care Outreach program and supported living program.

Our nurses build meaningful relationships with patients/clients and their families and have the time to address each patient’s emotional, physical, spiritual and social needs. Our nurses gain deep insights into health-care needs, enabling them to advocate for patients/clients and to devise comprehensive care plans with other members of the inter-professional team.
